Two-Year-Old Program Overview
At Natural Wonders Early Learning Center, our Two-Year-Old Program is thoughtfully divided into two groups - Early 2's and Older 2's - to meet the unique developmental needs of children as they grow through this exciting and transformative stage.

-
Early 2s are just beginning to explore independence. They are supported with consistent routines, nurturing guidance, and age-appropriate activities that encourage communication, social interaction, and self-help skills.

-
Older 2s are becoming more confident and capable, with growing language abilities, longer attention spans, and an eagerness to participate in group learning and hands-on discovery.

Our curriculum for two-year-olds emphasizes language development, emotional regulation, fine and gross motor skills, and early cognitive concepts like colors, shapes, numbers, and letters. Activities are play-based and designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and self-confidence.

A major milestone in this age group is potty training, and our staff partners closely with families to support each child's readiness and progress. With patience and encouragement, we help children develop independence in toileting, dressing, and other personal care routines.

As with all programs at Natural Wonders, nature is a central part of the learning experience. Our two-year-olds spend time outdoors daily, where they explore the world through hands-on nature play, including digging, building, collecting, and observing plants and animals. Nature walks and outdoor art projects help reinforce learning concepts while nurturing a love for the environment.

With a focus on the whole child, our Two-Year-Old Program provides a warm, stimulating, and supportive environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and physically-building a strong foundation for the preschool years ahead.
