Preschool Program Overview

At Natural Wonders Early Learning Center, our Preschool Program is thoughtfully designed to support children ages 3 to 5 years old as they grow in independence, curiosity, and foundational academic skills. The program is divided into two classrooms for three-year-olds and one PreKindergarten classroom for children preparing to enter kindergarten.

In our three-year-old classrooms, children continue developing important social-emotional and self-help skills while being introduces to early academic concepts. Through playful, hands-on activities they explore colors, shapes, numbers, letters, and pre-writing skills. Teachers foster a love of learning through songs, stories, art, and interactive group play, while also helping children learn to follow directions, take turns, and build positive peer relationships.

Our PreKindergarten classroom focuses on kindergarten readiness, building on foundational skills with increased structure and deeper learning experiences. Children strengthen their letter recognition, early literacy, number sense, patterning, and fine motor skills, while also practicing problem-solving, cooperative learning, and classroom routines that will support a successful transition to elementary school.

Nature is a central part of our preschool experience. Children spend time outdoors daily, where they engage in nature-based learning activities such as journaling, gardening, science exploration, and imaginative play in natural spaces. These activities not only enhance cognitive development but also nurture creativity, physical coordination, and a lasting connection to the natural world.

With a balance of academic preparation, social growth, and outdoor discovery, the Preschool Program at Natural Wonders Early Learning Center helps every child build the confidence and skills needed for a bright future in school and in life.
