Kena Christ

Kena's journey to becoming a librarian has been anything but ordinary. She began her career as a soldier in the U.S. Army and later served as a police office. While those experiences brought many challenges, they also gave her a deep appreciation for finding joy and creating positive experiences for others. That realization led her to education, where she discovered her true calling-working with children.

For the past eight years, Kena has dedicated herself to teaching and learning from "Littles," as she lovingly calls them. In addition to raising three daughters of her own, she has welcomed many "adopted Littles" and no enjoys being a proud grandmother to her "grandlittles." Her philosophy is simple: every child is her favorite.

Outside of school, Kena is continuing her studies in American Sign Language and Childhood Behavior, furthering her passion for communication and child development. At home, she enjoys life with husband and their two beloved cats, who are never far from her side.

Kena brings warmth, dedication, and a contagious enthusiasm for learning to her role as librarian, making the library a welcoming and joyful place for all.
