Emily Maddox serves as the Assistant Director of Natural Wonders Early Learning Center, bringing a strong background in early childhood education and a passion for creating enriching, nature-based learning experiences.  The youngest daughter of Carol Maddox, Emily grew up surrounded by a commitment to quality childcare and carries forward that legacy with dedication and heart.

Before stepping into leadership, Emily worked as a Prekindergarten teacher, where she cultivated a warm, engaging classroom environment that prepared children for success in kindergarten and beyond.  She holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and an Associate's Degree from Blue Ridge Community College, and she is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Liberty University.

Emily's commitment to service extends beyond the classroom. A Girl Scout Gold Award recipient, she continues to inspire young girls by leading a Girl Scout troop at the center, fostering leadership, confidence, and community engagement among her scouts.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her silver lab, Tonks, as well as reading, dancing, acting, and singing. Her energy, creativity, and educational expertise make her an invaluable leader at Natural Wonders, where she helps guide both staff and students toward growth, curiosity, and a love of learning.
