Meet Marissa Styers!
 

Hi! My name is Marissa Styers, and I am so excited to be part of the Natural Wonder family!
 

I am a recent graduate of Virginia Tech, where I earned my degree in Political Science. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Public and International Affairs at Virginia Tech as well. Go Hokies!
 

I grew up here in the Valley and have always loved the beautiful mountains and scenery. My love for exploring the world even led me to live in Switzerland! I have traveled to 17 countries, and experiencing different cultures and places is one of my greatest passions. In addition to English,
I also speak Italian.
 

I am also a substitute teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools in Southwest Virginia. This is now my fourth year teaching Pre-K, and I absolutely love watching children learn, grow, and develop the skills they need to feel confident and prepared for kindergarten.
 

In the future, I hope to work in international humanitarian or development aid, with a special focus on expanding educational opportunities for children around the world.

I am so grateful to spend my days learning and growing alongside our Pre-K students,
and I look forward to a wonderful year together!
